How to enjoy?
Known as "Chado" or "the way of tea," the Japanese tea ceremony has been centred around this elegant preparation for centuries.

1. Place the sifter over the chawan (tea bowl), then use the chashaku (bamboo scoop) to add about 1-2 teaspoons (1-2 grams) of matcha to it. This helps prevent clumps and ensures the smoothest bowl possible

2. Pour 60ml / 2oz (about a quarter cup) of hot water (not boiling, about 160°F (70°C) is ideal) into the bowl

3. Whisk vigorously (about 10-20 seconds) in a zig-zag motion until the tea is frothy, smooth and creamy

4. Optional: add more water to your taste preference. We usually add another quarter cup. The more you add, the lighter the flavor
